DESCRIPTION:
B. S. Farrington, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, 8 day, weight brass movement patent or banjo wall timepiece.
CONDITION:
Refinished mahogany and mahogany veneered case has had repairs on the bottom door. There is an age crack at the top door. Both tablets are replaced, but done on old glass. The case likely had black & gilt glasses originally as the wood pendulum rod is gilded. Based on the latches the case might have been made by one of the Attleboro makers. The dial appears original, but has repairs at the mounting pins, is age darkened and has surface stains. The signature appears original. The hands are unusual, but appear original.
